"The fusion of traditional and modern beauty," a beautiful sound of a popular concept in the country and abroad, the intense band "Matenrou Opera" released a new mini-album "Abyss."
Before the release of the mini-album, vocalist Sono tells us something about your adolescence.
- When going to high school, you were thinking I want to be as a professional musician!?
: Well, I mean that in high school, only about 15 or 16 years old and with a band, you suddenly have the feeling that the band will be playing while you are enrolled in high school.
I did not think would last longer than three months before the departure of the school. For high school graduates are trained to go to college.
- Did he live performances and stuff?
: I was just doing what I wanted, I had not seen anything deeply. Just fun.
- What happened when it happened?
: I was doing concerts in those days, selling tickets and doing a good live enabsoluto, "Am I good at making money this way? "I thought so. I think it is like today. I live for those who come to live. That's my fun now.
- How to compose and listen to music has changed ?
: At that time there were small changes. I heard Metal Visual Kei in high school, before I was doing mainly J-Pop.
- How did you get to the opera and metal? How was the choice across such a great musical?
: When I went to college was great for distributing music. They were talking about R & B, Jazz, and CD loans was doing increasingly easy to "blend in with the music." My instructors 70 years of age and history of music, encouraged me to listen to old music from the 80's.
- What was your efforts in high school?
: I was serious and wanted to play in a band. I did Karaoke. I spent much time doing karaoke, until I tired throat. But now my throat is stronger than before. I repeated that I had a voice "high." I just sang.
- Meeting with Visual Kei?
: About 6 years of primary school, I saw in the store an X-JAPAN CD "The Art of life "and bought it. They were really impressive. So I asked what kind of music, and stuff. Intense, with songs up to 30 minutes, and that. It was full of all the music I heard so far. It's great.
- So you thought: "I want to do that?"
: At first I wanted to play drums. Because Yoshiki admire. But the first guy who played drums in the band said, "How should I do?" Also he had started earlier (laughs). Then, as I like songs with voice and as he had no place to go, good.
You never thought you were in a band as compared to others?
: No, I did too. As adults, mostly felt that he had not taken very seriously. Rather, I felt that we did everything by trial and error. This is a strong competitive spirit with the senior band.
- What is a fan of Matenrou Opera?
: The lyrics speak of a world view or even that it is not just a band, the song "anomie", speaking of that "Get freedom" That is what I have. As for finding what you want. You should not think that is a failure. From what I can not even think.
- A goal is not met?
: Martial Arts.
- What you imagined it would be like?
: Absolutely not (laughs).
"Tell us some of your goals ...
: I make music, mostly want to do something more than a band. CC Lemon Hall as Visual Kei, was never thought something like (laughs). Now follow Budokan (lol).
- was fun.
: Is that all? (Laughs). Well, well ... am.
